报告摘要: Aneuploidy is one of the hallmarks in cancer cells. It is known to promote the development of cancer. A major cause of aneuploidy is derived from chromosome missegregation in mitosis. Therefore, a better understanding of the mechanisms of proper chromosome segregation will help decipher the underlying causes of cancer and provide theoretical bases for clinical applications. My laboratory aims to determine these mechanisms. In this presentation, I will give an overview of how centromeric cohesion promotes proper chromosome segregation and how it is regulated during the cell cycle. As well, I will demonstrate how deregulation of a protein function may contribute to tumorigenesis.

刘洪博士本科以及研究生毕业于四川大学，并于2009年获得美国佛罗里达大学博士学位，博士期间主要用裂殖酵母作为模式生物研究细胞周期调控。 博士毕业后， 在德州大学西南医学中心进行博士后研究，主要从事人细胞染色体分离的分子机制研究。 2015起在美国杜兰大学（Tulane）任助理教授职位。已在国际著名期刊发表多篇研究论文， 包括， Science, Nature Cell Biology, Molecular Cell, Current Biology 等。
